The holiday season is my favourite time of year when being a photographer! From fire breathers to headline DJ’s there is always an amazing array of interesting subjects to shoot. Yesterday I was lucky enough to photograph Nando’s Christmas party in Sheffield; the theme was The Greatest Showman (not going to lie this had to be the best nightlife shoot I have done all year). All the guests arrived in amazing fancy dress, as a photographer I love this because it allows for gorgeously vibrant photography. There were a number of talented performers who performed throughout the night, which made for tons of great photo opportunities. Not only that Walkabout’s lighting made for perfect natural candid shots of the guests (I find candid’s make for the best unplanned, atmospheric photos). Our photographic journey began in the steel city of Sheffield, with moody portfolios snapped in the artful alleyways and side-streets, to the city’s music venues that had little more than banging tunes and good vibes to go around. From this small beginning, Victoria Greensmith Photography has flourished into seeing through a world of different lenses. Work undertaken now has expanded to include mouth-watering burgers, exciting cocktails and high-brow model campaigns, with a side order of wedding, corporate and venue photography. As we are always looking to expand our knowledge, no shoot is out of question.
